Usual Adult Dose for Narcolepsy: → 200 mg orally once daily in the morning Doses up to 400 mg/day have been used but offer no consistent added benefit. Lower doses may be appropriate for older adults. Usual Adult Dose for Obstructive Sleep Apnea: → 200 mg orally once daily in the morning Used in conjunction with primary OSA treatment (e.g., CPAP). Monitor elderly patients for tolerability. Usual Adult Dose for Shift Work Sleep Disorder: → 200 mg orally approximately 1 hour before work shift begins Supports alertness during night shifts or irregular work schedules.
