Pred Forte Eye Drops contain prednisolone acetate 10 mg/mL, a corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory activity, and benzalkonium chloride 0.06 mg as a preservative with antimicrobial effects. This ophthalmic suspension is indicated for short-term treatment of non-infectious ocular inflammation affecting the conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior uveal tract. By suppressing the inflammatory cascade, prednisolone acetate relieves redness, swelling, pain, and irritation, while benzalkonium chloride maintains sterility of the solution. Due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure, cataract formation, or secondary infection, prolonged or unsupervised use is not recommended. Contact lens wearers must remove lenses before instillation, as benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft lenses and cause irritation.

- Suppresses prostaglandin and cytokine production to reduce ocular inflammation. - Relieves discomfort caused by immune-mediated reactions, trauma, or post-surgical irritation. - Benzalkonium chloride acts as a preservative and provides minimal antimicrobial benefit to maintain drop sterility. - Reduces tissue damage associated with prolonged ocular inflammation, thereby helping preserve vision.

Indications: - Ocular inflammation, including anterior uveitis, keratitis, and conjunctivitis - Corticosteroid-responsive inflammation of the cornea and anterior segment - Postoperative ocular inflammation and pain management Bottle Size & Composition: - 10 mL ophthalmic suspension - Prednisolone acetate 10 mg/mL - Benzalkonium chloride 0.06 mg Adult/Pediatric Dosing: - Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) 2–4 times daily. - In severe inflammation: 1–2 drops every hour during the first 24–48 hours, then gradually taper. - Shake bottle well before each use. Administration: - Wash hands thoroughly before use. - Tilt head back, gently pull down lower eyelid, and instill drops into conjunctival sac. - Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or skin. - Blink to spread medication evenly. - If multiple ophthalmic agents are prescribed, wait at least 5–10 minutes between instillations. Contact Lenses: - Remove soft lenses before instillation. - Lenses may be reinserted 10–15 minutes after dosing.

- Store at controlled room temperature (15–25°C). - Protect from light and keep tightly capped. - Do not freeze. - Keep out of reach of children.

- Common: Mild burning, stinging, blurred vision, tearing. - Serious: Increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, cataract formation, delayed corneal healing, secondary ocular infection. - Long-term use requires monitoring of intraocular pressure.
