For post-stroke sequelae, the usual adult dosage is 100–150 mg per day, divided into two or three doses, with adjustments made according to the patient’s symptoms and age. For influenza A virus infections, adults typically take 100 mg per day, divided into one or two doses, with dosage adjustments as needed based on age and symptoms. However, for elderly patients and those with renal impairment, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 100 mg. When Amantrel is prescribed to improve motivation and spontaneity in post-stroke sequelae, the treatment period should be carefully determined based on clinical effectiveness and side effects. If no improvement is observed within 12 weeks, the medication should be discontinued. For influenza A virus infections, treatment should begin as soon as possible after symptom onset, ideally within 48 hours, as starting after this period may reduce effectiveness.
