Augmentin 375 is an original branded pediatric formulation manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It combines Amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic, with Clavulanic Acid, a β-lactamase inhibitor, to overcome resistance and expand antibacterial coverage. It is widely used in children for respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, soft-tissue, and dental infections where β-lactamase–producing organisms are suspected.

  • Treats pediatric urinary tract infections (UTIs) such as cystitis and bladder infections.
  • Effective for skin & soft tissue infections (SSTIs), including impetigo, cellulitis, and wound infections.

Respiratory Diseases

  • Used for bronchitis, pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis.
  • Effective for bacterial complications of flu and colds such as sinusitis and otitis media in children.

Stomach & Liver & Digestive System

  • Aids in Helicobacter pylori eradication when combined with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) for pediatric peptic ulcer treatment.

Diseases & Symptoms

  • Prescribed for dental infections, including periodontal abscesses and post-dental procedures in children.

  • UTIs (Cystitis): Twice-daily dosing for 5–10 days, weight-adjusted.
