Azicip 250 is a broad-spectrum antibiotic manufactured by Cipla Ltd, containing Azithromycin 250mg, a macrolide-class antibiotic. It is widely prescribed for bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary system, skin, soft tissues, and gastrointestinal system.
It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping bacterial growth and replication. Azicip 250 is commonly used for infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, urethritis, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
In resistant infections, it may be combined with other antibiotics to broaden antibacterial coverage.
