Terbest Cream - 30g contains terbinafine hydrochloride, a powerful topical allylamine antifungal agent effective against a broad spectrum of superficial fungal infections. By inhibiting squalene epoxidase, it disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential structural component of fungal cell membranes. This leads to a toxic accumulation of squalene inside fungal cells, causing structural damage, loss of function, and eventual cell death. Its fungicidal action ensures rapid symptom relief, reduced inflammation, and a low recurrence rate when treatment is completed as directed. The cream formulation provides soothing application suitable for various skin areas, including folds and moisture-prone regions. Off-label, it is sometimes used in post-acne care to prevent secondary fungal infections and support skin recovery.

This mechanism provides rapid and effective elimination of dermatophytes, with additional activity against certain yeasts and molds. Topical application delivers high local drug concentrations with minimal systemic exposure, making it an effective and safe choice for superficial infections.
Tinea Corporis: Apply a thin layer of cream, gel, or spray to the affected and surrounding skin once daily (adults and children ≥12 years). Tinea Cruris: Apply once daily to clean, dry skin using cream, gel, or spray. Tinea Pedis: - Cream/Spray: Apply twice daily, in the morning and evening. - Gel: Apply once daily. Tinea Versicolor: Apply terbinafine solution twice daily to affected skin until symptoms resolve. General advice: Always wash and dry the area before application. Apply enough to cover both the lesion and approximately 2 cm of surrounding skin. Continue use for the full recommended duration to prevent recurrence, even if symptoms improve earlier. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and broken skin.
Store at room temperature (below 25°C), away from excessive moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children.
