Trfy Cream - 15g contains terbinafine hydrochloride, a potent topical allylamine antifungal agent formulated to effectively treat a variety of superficial fungal infections. It acts by selectively inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, disrupting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, which leads to structural instability and fungal cell death. This mechanism ensures rapid symptom relief from itching, scaling, redness, and discomfort, while minimizing the likelihood of recurrence when used for the full recommended duration. The cream spreads easily, absorbs quickly without leaving an oily residue, and is suitable for application to folds, interdigital areas, and other moisture-prone regions. Off-label, it has been incorporated into post-acne skin care protocols to reduce secondary fungal colonization and inflammation, thereby aiding skin recovery.

Terbinafine hydrochloride exhibits fungicidal activity against dermatophytes and fungistatic or fungicidal activity against some yeasts and molds. By inhibiting squalene epoxidase, it depletes ergosterol and accumulates squalene within fungal cells, leading to membrane disruption and irreversible cell damage. Its topical use allows high drug concentration at the site of infection with negligible systemic exposure, ensuring targeted action and safety for prolonged therapy if needed.
Tinea Corporis: Apply a thin, even layer of cream, gel, or spray once daily to the affected skin and about 2 cm of surrounding area. Tinea Cruris: Apply once daily to clean, dry skin with cream, gel, or spray. Tinea Pedis: - Cream/Spray: Apply twice daily, morning and evening. - Gel: Apply once daily. Tinea Versicolor: Apply terbinafine solution twice daily until resolution of symptoms. General advice: Clean and dry the area thoroughly before application. Apply enough product to cover the lesion and nearby skin. Continue for the full duration even if symptoms improve earlier to avoid relapse. Avoid eye contact and application to broken skin. Wash hands before and after application.
Store at temperatures below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
Common: Mild itching, redness, dryness, or burning at the application site. Rare but serious: Allergic contact dermatitis, blistering, swelling, severe irritation. Discontinue use and seek medical attention if significant hypersensitivity reactions occur.
