Overseas Usage Instructions Azithromycin is commonly prescribed worldwide for the treatment of gonorrhea and chlamydia, both of which are well-recognized bacterial causes of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Chlamydia (Urethritis & Cervicitis caused by *Chlamydia trachomatis*) - Take 2 tablets of AZITHROMYCIN-500MG (total 1,000mg) in a single dose. - Do not split or stagger the intake; consume both tablets at once. - This one-time treatment is sufficient, with its effects lasting for about 10 days. Gonorrhea (Urethritis & Cervicitis caused by *Neisseria gonorrhoeae*) - In adults, treatment begins with an Azithromycin injection, followed by an oral dose of 250mg once per day. - In some regions, a single dose of 4 tablets of AZITHROMYCIN-500MG (total 2,000mg) is used. - Take the full 4-tablet dose at once, without splitting it throughout the day. Common Bacterial Infections (*Skin infections, lymphangitis, lymphadenitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, periodontal infections, pericoronitis, jaw inflammation*) - Take 1 tablet of AZITHROMYCIN-500MG (total 500mg) once per day for three days, totaling 3 tablets (1,500mg) for the full course. - The antibacterial effect continues for approximately 7 days. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID, including gonorrhea-related cases) - Treatment starts with an Azithromycin injection, followed by ½ tablet of AZITHROMYCIN-500MG (total 250mg) once per day. Optimizing Treatment Effectiveness - Azithromycin is available in 100mg, 250mg, 500mg, and 1,000mg strengths. - Avoid breaking or crushing the tablets; choose the appropriate dosage based on the condition being treated. - If symptoms do not improve or worsen after four days, consider switching to a different medication. - In urethritis or cervicitis cases, monitor the patient’s condition for 2–4 weeks after starting Azithromycin to evaluate effectiveness.
