Althrocin 500 contains Erythromycin 500mg, a macrolide antibiotic commonly prescribed to treat bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, skin, and soft tissues. It is effective in treating bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, and streptococcal throat infections.

This antibiotic works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, stopping the growth and spread of bacteria. It is often used as an alternative for patients allergic to penicillin and can also be prescribed for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as chlamydia.

  • Bronchitis, Pharyngitis, Tonsillitis, Sinusitis: Helps treat acute bronchitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and sinusitis.
  • Asthma / COPD: Assists in managing bacterial infections in COPD exacerbation or chronic bronchitis.
