AZEE 100 DT is a generic oral antibiotic containing Azithromycin 100mg, a widely used macrolide antibiotic known for its broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It effectively treats bacterial infections by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, thereby stopping their growth and spread. Azithromycin is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, skin infections, sexually transmitted diseases, and ear infections. This makes it a preferred choice for treating infections that require high patient compliance. Additionally, it is known for its role in community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), pharyngitis, sinusitis, and bronchitis, especially in cases caused by atypical pathogens like *Mycoplasma pneumoniae* and *Chlamydia pneumoniae*.

Overseas Usage Guidelines Azithromycin is prescribed internationally for gonorrhea and chlamydia, both of which are well-known bacterial causes of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Chlamydia (Urethritis & Cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis) -Take 10 tablets of AZITHROMYCIN-100MG (total 1,000mg) as a single dose. -Do not split the dosage; consume all 10 tablets at once. -The treatment is completed with a single dose, and the effects last for approximately 10 days. Gonorrhea (Urethritis & Cervicitis caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae) -In adults, treatment starts with an Azithromycin injection, followed by an oral dose of 250mg once daily. -In some countries, a single dose of 20 tablets of AZITHROMYCIN-100MG (total 2,000mg) is taken at once. -Do not divide the dosage; take all 20 tablets in one go. Common Bacterial Infections (Skin infections, lymphangitis, lymphadenitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, periodontal infections, pericoronitis, jaw inflammation) -Take 5 tablets of AZITHROMYCIN-100MG (total 500mg) once daily for three days, totaling 15 tablets (1,500mg) over the course of treatment. -The antibacterial effects last for approximately 7 days. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID, including gonorrhea-related cases) -Treatment begins with an Azithromycin injection, followed by 3 tablets of AZITHROMYCIN-100MG (total 250mg) once daily. -Maximizing Effectiveness -Azithromycin is available in 100mg, 250mg, 500mg, and 1,000mg formulations. -Do not break or crush the tablets; select the appropriate dosage based on the severity of symptoms. -If symptoms persist or worsen after four days of treatment, switch to an alternative medication as needed. -In urethritis or cervicitis cases, monitor the patient's condition for 2–4 weeks after starting Azithromycin to assess effectiveness.
- Store at room temperature (15-30°C) in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. - Keep the medication in its original packaging and out of reach of children and pets.
