AZEE 1000 is a high-dose macrolide antibiotic containing Azithromycin 1,000mg, manufactured by Cipla Ltd. Designed for short-course, high-potency therapy, it is widely used for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as chlamydia, as well as skin, soft tissue, and respiratory infections. This high-dose tablet is often used in single-dose treatments for better compliance and rapid bacterial clearance.

For Antibiotics & Infections > Chlamydia and Gonorrhea - AZEE 1000 is commonly used to treat chlamydia as a single-dose therapy. - Dosage: Take 1 tablet (1000mg) once as a single dose for uncomplicated chlamydia infection. - For gonorrhea, some protocols may require 2,000mg (2 tablets) in a single day, sometimes combined with injectable antibiotics. - Administration: Swallow whole with water. May be taken with or without food. - Do not repeat dosage without medical consultation. Seek professional advice if symptoms persist or recur. For Respiratory Diseases > Flu (Influenza) & Colds - Azithromycin is not a treatment for viruses such as influenza or the common cold. - However, it may be prescribed if secondary bacterial infections develop. - Dosage: As prescribed by your doctor; usually 500mg/day for 3 days, but 1,000mg may be used in modified regimens where applicable. - Take as a single dose or under specific medical guidance. For Respiratory Diseases > Tuberculosis / Pneumonia - Azithromycin 1000mg may be used to treat atypical pneumonia or certain co-infections. - Dosage: As directed by a physician, possibly 1,000mg on day 1, followed by 500mg for subsequent days, or a tailored dose as per regional protocols. - If no improvement is observed after 4 days, consult a healthcare provider promptly. For Respiratory Diseases > Bronchitis, Sinusitis, Pharyngitis, Tonsillitis - AZEE 1000 may be prescribed for acute bacterial respiratory infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, or tonsillitis. - Dosage: 1,000mg may be given as a once-daily dose, with treatment duration based on clinical judgment. - Administration: Swallow whole with water.
