Saslic Foaming Face Wash contains salicylic acid 1% w/w, a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) well known for its keratolytic and comedolytic properties. It penetrates deep into pores to dissolve excess sebum, remove dead skin cells, and inhibit the growth of acne-causing bacteria such as Cutibacterium acnes. By keeping pores clear, it helps prevent new blemishes while reducing the severity of blackheads and whiteheads. Salicylic acid also promotes gentle exfoliation during the skin renewal cycle, improving skin texture, evening tone, and minimizing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. In lower concentrations such as 1%, it is suitable for sensitive skin and can be used daily as part of a long-term skincare regimen. Beyond acne, salicylic acid offers benefits in mild keratinization disorders such as psoriasis, corns, and calluses, while also functioning as a non-irritating peeling agent in general skin maintenance.

Salicylic acid is a lipophilic beta-hydroxy acid that penetrates sebum-rich follicles, loosening and removing intercellular connections in the stratum corneum. This keratolytic action helps to clear blockages in pores, reduce inflammation, and improve the shedding of dead skin cells. At low concentrations (1% or below), it provides mild exfoliation suitable for daily maintenance and sensitive skin. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties, reducing redness and swelling in acne lesions, while creating an environment less favorable for bacterial growth.
Adult Acne → Salicylic acid 1% foam/cleanser: Apply to damp skin, massage gently for 20–30 seconds, then rinse. Use 2–3 times daily. → If excessive dryness or irritation occurs, reduce usage to once daily or every other day. Adult Dermatological Disorders (higher strengths for specific indications) → Salicylic acid 16.7% liquid: Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly; apply to each wart 1–2 times daily. → Salicylic acid 3% soap: Use at least twice weekly, leaving lather for 2 minutes before rinsing; repeat if needed. → Salicylic acid 6% cream/lotion: Apply once daily to hydrated skin, occlude overnight, wash off in the morning. → Salicylic acid 6% foam: Apply once daily at bedtime to hydrated skin, occlude, and wash off in the morning. Pediatric Acne (12 years and older) → Salicylic acid 1% foam/cleanser: Same application method and frequency as adults. General Notes: → Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and broken skin. → Use sunscreen daily, as exfoliation can increase UV sensitivity. → Discontinue if severe irritation, rash, or allergic reaction occurs.
