Product Description

Minoxiboon 5 is an oral minoxidil tablet (5 mg) used off-label for treatment of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss). Originally developed as an antihypertensive vasodilator, low-dose oral minoxidil improves scalp blood flow and nutrient delivery to hair follicles, promoting entry into the anagen (growth) phase.

Oral dosing offers a convenient, systemic alternative for patients who are non-responsive to or intolerant of topical formulations, especially when diffuse or extensive scalp involvement is present.

Because systemic exposure can affect blood pressure and fluid balance, baseline assessment and periodic monitoring are recommended. Distributed via reliable online pharmacy channels.

Indications & Uses

  • Hair Growth & Care | Riup/Rogaine (Minoxidil) — Off-label oral therapy for androgenetic alopecia in men (and selected female cases) when topical minoxidil is ineffective or not tolerated.
  • Useful for diffuse scalp thinning, patients with topical solution irritation, or those who prefer oral dosing.

Benefits & Effectiveness

  • Mechanism: Minoxidil opens potassium channels in vascular smooth muscle → vasodilation and increased follicular microcirculation.
  • Hair growth: Enhances oxygen and nutrient delivery to the dermal papilla, stimulating and prolonging the anagen phase.
  • Systemic exposure: Oral route provides uniform systemic exposure, beneficial for widespread hair thinning.
  • Time to effect: Visible improvement typically appears within 3–6 months of consistent use; maximal effects may take longer.

Directions for Use

  • Off-label hair loss dosing:
Men: 2.5–5 mg orally once daily (start low, titrate per tolerance).
Women: 1.25–2.5 mg orally once daily (use caution; avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding).
  • Start at the lower end to assess tolerance; increase only under medical supervision.
  • Monitor blood pressure, weight (for edema), heart rate, and signs of excess hair growth.
  • Consider concurrent low-dose diuretic if clinically indicated to manage fluid retention (physician decision).
  • Expect initial shedding in some users; continue therapy unless intolerable adverse effects occur.

Storage

  • Store below 30°C in a tightly closed container, protected from light and moisture.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Discard tablets that are discolored or crumbling.

Possible Side Effects

  • Common: hypertrichosis (excess body/face hair), dizziness, fatigue, peripheral edema.
  • Cardiovascular/serious (rare): tachycardia, exacerbation of angina, pericardial effusion, symptomatic hypotension.
  • Dermatologic: rash or allergic reactions (rare).
  • If severe cardiovascular or neurologic symptoms occur, stop and seek medical care.
