Foracort 400 Rotacaps is a combination dry powder inhaler (DPI) that delivers Formoterol Fumarate (6mcg) and Budesonide (400mcg), designed for long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This inhaler provides dual-action relief, helping to relax the airway muscles and reduce inflammation, ensuring better lung function and symptom control. Formoterol is a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist (LABA) that works by relaxing the bronchial muscles, allowing smoother airflow for up to 12 hours. Budesonide, an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS), helps reduce airway inflammation and prevents asthma flare-ups. This combination is particularly effective for patients experiencing persistent asthma symptoms or frequent COPD exacerbations. Foracort 400 Rotacaps is designed for use with a Rotahaler, a dry powder inhalation device that allows the deep lung delivery of medication without the need for propellants. Unlike rescue inhalers, this medication is not for immediate symptom relief but is meant for consistent, long-term control of respiratory conditions.

For the Treatment of Bronchial Asthma For maintenance therapy: -The usual dosage for adults is one inhalation (containing 160µg of Budesonide and 4.5µg of Formoterol) twice daily. -The dosage may be adjusted based on symptoms, but the maximum per inhalation is four times, with a daily limit of eight inhalations. For maintenance therapy with additional as-needed inhalation: -The usual dosage for adults is one or two inhalations twice daily as regular maintenance therapy. -When symptoms or attacks occur, an additional inhalation can be used as needed. -If symptoms persist a few minutes after the first as-needed inhalation, another inhalation may be taken. This process can be repeated if necessary, but the maximum per episode is six inhalations. -The usual daily limit is eight inhalations, but in certain cases, it may be temporarily increased to a total of 12 inhalations per day. -However, if you exceed eight inhalations per day, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly. For the Relief of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Symptoms -The usual dosage for adults is two inhalations (containing 320µg of Budesonide and 9µg of Formoterol) twice daily.
