Montair 10 is an oral chewable tablet containing Montelukast 10mg, a leukotriene receptor antagonist widely used in the management of asthma, allergic rhinitis, and related respiratory diseases. This generic formulation from Cipla Ltd. is designed to ease breathing, reduce airway inflammation, and prevent asthma-related symptoms triggered by allergens, exercise, or environmental factors. As part of the Respiratory Diseases category, Montair 10 is especially effective in managing Asthma/COPD by inhibiting leukotriene-mediated bronchoconstriction. In addition, it is widely prescribed to alleviate symptoms of Allergic Rhinitis, including nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. Its once-daily dosing and chewable formulation make it a convenient option for both adults and pediatric patients. Montelukast works by blocking leukotrienes—chemical substances released in the body in response to allergens like pollen or dust. These leukotrienes cause swelling in airways and excess mucus production. By reducing their effects, Montair 10 helps relieve chronic respiratory symptoms and reduces the frequency of asthma attacks.
