- Onbrez 150 Breezhaler is primarily used for the long-term management of COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Its active ingredient, Indacaterol 150mcg, belongs to the ultra-long-acting beta-2 agonist (LABA) class, offering rapid bronchodilation and maintaining open airways for a full 24 hours with once-daily dosing. - In cases of chronic bronchitis, it helps relieve airway obstruction and inflammation, improving breathing efficiency and reducing daily respiratory discomfort. - While not intended for acute asthma attacks, its mechanism mirrors those used in asthma maintenance therapy, and it may support long-term airway control when paired appropriately. - Onbrez is particularly effective for patients with moderate to severe COPD, improving lung function, exercise tolerance, and overall respiratory quality of life.
- Indacaterol selectively activates beta-2 adrenergic receptors, causing relaxation of airway smooth muscle. - Its onset begins within 5 minutes and provides bronchodilation for up to 24 hours, making it suitable for once-daily dosing in chronic respiratory disease management.
For Respiratory Diseases > Asthma / COPD - Onbrez 150 Breezhaler contains Indacaterol, a once-daily long-acting β2-agonist (LABA) used for the maintenance treatment of COPD. - Dosage: Inhale 1 capsule once daily at the same time each day using the provided Breezhaler® device. - Administration: Do not swallow the capsule. - Insert the capsule into the Breezhaler®, pierce it, and inhale deeply and fully. - Discard the used capsule after inhalation. - Rinse your mouth with water if throat irritation occurs. - This product is not indicated for asthma or acute bronchospasm relief. Do not use as a rescue inhaler. - Regular use helps relieve chronic airway obstruction and improves breathing capacity over time. For Respiratory Diseases > Bronchitis - Onbrez 150 Breezhaler may also be used in patients with chronic bronchitis, a subtype of COPD, to improve airflow limitation and manage long-term respiratory symptoms. - It works by relaxing the airway muscles, making it easier to breathe and reducing coughing and breathlessness. - Proper technique and consistent daily usage are key to symptom control in chronic bronchitis.
- Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Keep capsules in the blister until ready for use. - Do not freeze or expose to high humidity. - Keep away from children.
- Common side effects include cough post-inhalation, nasopharyngitis, headache, dizziness, and muscle cramps. - Rare but serious effects include palpitations, hypokalemia, or hypertension.
