It is equivalent to Seretide 500 Evohaler and is intended for inhalation via Cipla’s Ciphaler MDI device. This product is indicated for patients requiring high-dose ICS/LABA therapy for the long-term management of severe asthma or advanced COPD.
- Seroflo 500 Ciphaler is prescribed for the maintenance treatment of severe persistent asthma and for moderate to severe COPD where symptoms are not adequately controlled with lower-dose inhalers. - The combination of Fluticasone, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, and Salmeterol, a bronchodilator that provides sustained airway relaxation, offers comprehensive control of airway obstruction and chronic inflammation. - Under the classification Respiratory Diseases > Asthma / COPD, this high-strength formulation is especially beneficial in preventing exacerbations, reducing hospitalizations, and improving quality of life in patients with poor baseline lung function or frequent flare-ups.

This formulation is typically prescribed for moderate to severe persistent asthma or advanced stages of COPD requiring higher anti-inflammatory control. - Dosage: Inhale one puff twice daily, usually in the morning and evening, or exactly as prescribed by your physician. - Administration: Shake the inhaler thoroughly before each use. - Exhale fully, insert the mouthpiece into your mouth, and while pressing down on the canister, inhale deeply and steadily. - Hold your breath for a few seconds, then breathe out gently. - After each dose, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out to reduce the risk of oral candidiasis (thrush). - Use the inhaler at the same times every day to maintain therapeutic levels. - Do not exceed the prescribed dose. - This inhaler is not suitable for acute asthma attacks—a fast-acting bronchodilator such as Salbutamol should be used in such cases.
