Product Description

Fabkure 150 is a generic formulation of fenbendazole 150mg, a benzimidazole-class broad-spectrum anthelmintic effective against a wide range of gastrointestinal parasites in animals. It is particularly noted for its high safety margin and ability to address resistant parasite strains.

Indications & Uses

- Antiparasitics > Broad-Spectrum Anthelmintic Fenbendazole 150mg exhibits efficacy against nematodes, cestodes, and trematodes. It disrupts microtubule formation in parasite cells, halting glucose uptake and leading to parasite death. > Gastrointestinal Nematodes Used to treat infestations of roundworms (Ascaris spp.), whipworms (Trichuris spp.), and hookworms (Ancylostoma, Necator). Especially beneficial in mixed infections common in veterinary settings. > Hookworm, Whipworm, Strongyloides Proven effective against blood-feeding gastrointestinal parasites and strongyloidiasis, which is more severe in immunocompromised hosts. > Alternative for Resistant Cases Used as an alternative treatment for parasites resistant to albendazole, ivermectin, and other common anthelmintics. Shown potential in treating persistent infestations.

Benefits & Effectiveness

Fenbendazole binds to beta-tubulin in parasite cells, inhibiting microtubule assembly. This action disrupts essential cellular transport, starves the parasite of energy, and induces gradual death. It is poorly absorbed systemically, maximizing local effect in the intestines.
