Product Description

Panacur 150 Vet is an original formulation of fenbendazole 150mg, a benzimidazole-class broad-spectrum anthelmintic primarily used in veterinary settings. It demonstrates efficacy against a wide array of internal parasites across multiple species.

Indications & Uses

- Antiparasitics > Broad-Spectrum Anthelmintic Fenbendazole 150mg is effective against nematodes, cestodes, and trematodes, offering comprehensive gastrointestinal parasite control. > Gastrointestinal Nematodes Used for treating infections caused by roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and Strongyloides in animal hosts, particularly dogs, horses, and ruminants. > Hookworm, Whipworm, Strongyloides Effective against hematophagous parasites and opportunistic pathogens in immunocompromised hosts. > Alternative for Resistant Cases Considered a viable option when conventional anthelmintics fail, especially in ivermectin- or albendazole-resistant strains.

Benefits & Effectiveness

Fenbendazole disrupts the polymerization of tubulin into microtubules within parasite cells, impairing glucose uptake and leading to energy depletion and death. It exhibits ovicidal, larvicidal, and adulticidal activity against helminths.

Directions for Use

- Dogs: Small: 22.7 mg/kg Medium: 50 mg/kg Large: 113.5 mg/kg Administer once daily for 3–5 consecutive days to treat roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and Taenia tapeworms. - Cats: 50 mg/kg once daily for several days (off-label use) Targets roundworms and hookworms under veterinary guidance. - Horses: Standard: 5 mg/kg once for routine deworming Severe: 10 mg/kg daily for 5 days for cyathostomes or heavy infestations - Cattle: 5 mg/kg against GI nematodes like Ostertagia, Cooperia, Trichostrongylus, and lungworms (Dictyocaulus) - Sheep & Goats: 5 mg/kg targeting Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus - Swine: 9 mg/kg for roundworms (Ascaris suum) and lungworms (Metastrongylus spp.) Important Notes: - Not typically a single-dose treatment; full course adherence is essential - Dosage and regimen should be determined by a veterinarian, especially for food-producing species
