Panacur Granules 22.2% - Dewormer for Cats, Dogs, Kittens & Puppies is an original veterinary antiparasitic formula containing 222mg of Fenbendazole per dose. It is known for its efficacy against a broad spectrum of internal parasites and is widely used in household pets for routine and therapeutic deworming.
- Antiparasitics > Gastrointestinal Nematode Infections Fenbendazole 222mg is effective in eliminating roundworms, whipworms, hookworms, and certain tapeworm species. It targets parasite metabolism by binding to β-tubulin and disrupting microtubule formation, leading to the parasite's energy depletion and death. > Companion Animal Deworming This product is commonly used in domestic animals such as cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens, especially during early growth stages or when transitioning from shelters to homes. It is well tolerated and often incorporated into routine parasite control programs. > Rescue & Kennel Protocol Highly recommended in high-risk environments such as rescue centers and kennels to prevent reinfection and contamination. Its granule form allows easy administration with food.
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic agent that works by selectively inhibiting the formation of microtubules in parasitic cells. This mechanism halts cellular function and glucose uptake, effectively starving and killing the parasite. It is active against both adult and larval stages of many nematodes and some cestodes.
Dogs Small: 22.7 mg/kg once daily for 3–5 days Medium: 50 mg/kg once daily for 3–5 days Large: 113.5 mg/kg once daily for 3–5 days → Effective against roundworms, whipworms, hookworms, and Taenia spp. Cats 50 mg/kg once daily for several consecutive days → Used off-label for roundworm and hookworm infestations Important Notes: This is not a single-dose treatment. Administer consistently for full efficacy. Veterinary consultation is essential, especially for use in livestock and breeding animals.
Store below 30°C in a sealed container. Avoid humidity and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Generally well tolerated. Occasional mild gastrointestinal upset may occur. Overdose may cause vomiting or diarrhea. Always follow dosing guidelines and consult with a veterinarian.
