Elgoliz 150 Tablet contains Elagolix 150 mg, a potent GnRH receptor antagonist used in the management of hormone-driven conditions such as endometriosis and uterine fibroids. By rapidly and directly suppressing pituitary release of LH and FSH, it systemically reduces estrogen levels, resulting in significant relief from pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Unlike GnRH agonists, Elagolix does not cause an initial hormone flare, acts within hours, and is fully reversible, making it well-suited for non-surgical treatment strategies or preoperative symptom control. The convenience of oral dosing enhances compliance in long-term hormone regulation protocols.
HORMONES & MENOPAUSAL SYMPTOMS > Endometriosis
Effectively treats moderate to severe endometriosis-associated pain, including dysmenorrhea and dyspareunia, through sustained estrogen suppression.
AntiCancer Drugs > Uterine Fibroid
Used to manage fibroid-related symptoms such as menorrhagia and pelvic discomfort, often as a non-surgical intervention or preoperative adjunct in fibroid therapy.

Usual Adult Dose (Endometriosis)
150 mg orally once daily for up to 24 months
Alternative Dosage (Dyspareunia)
200 mg orally twice daily for a maximum of 6 months
Important Considerations
Initiate treatment only after excluding pregnancy, preferably within 7 days of menstrual onset
Always prescribe the lowest effective dose according to symptom severity
Restrict therapy duration due to risk of bone mineral density loss
For patients with dyspareunia or moderate hepatic impairment, limit therapy to 6 months
Therapy may be given alone or in combination with estradiol + norethindrone acetate (add-back therapy) to extend duration and improve tolerability
General Notes

Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered; if close to the next dose, skip and resume schedule. Do not double dose
