- Sleep & Mental Health > ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Axepta 60 is primarily used for the treatment of ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults. It improves executive function, decreases impulsive behavior, and helps regulate mood and activity levels. This medication is suitable for individuals who cannot tolerate stimulant-based therapies or are at higher risk for substance misuse.
- Selectively inhibits norepinephrine reuptake in the brain - Enhances attention, behavioral control, and mental clarity - Maintains therapeutic effect throughout the day with single dosing - Non-addictive and non-stimulant in nature - Useful in ADHD patients with anxiety, tic disorders, or sleep issues
- Adults (Over 70 kg): - Initial Dose: 40 mg/day orally - Maintenance Dose: Increase to 80 mg/day after 3 days - Maximum Dose: Up to 100 mg/day after 2–4 weeks if no adequate response - Children/Adolescents (≤70 kg): - Initial Dose: 0.5 mg/kg/day orally - Maintenance Dose: 1.2 mg/kg/day - Maximum Dose: 1.4 mg/kg/day or 100 mg/day (whichever is less) - Instructions: - Take once daily in the morning, or divide between morning and evening - Swallow capsules whole; do not open or crush - Can be taken with or without meals - Dose adjustment may be needed in hepatic impairment or with CYP2D6 inhibitors
