Asprito 15 is a generic atypical antipsychotic medication containing aripiprazole. It is primarily used for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and as adjunct therapy in treatment-resistant major depressive disorder. Aripiprazole functions as a partial agonist at dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT1A receptors, and as an antagonist at serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. This unique receptor profile allows it to stabilize both hyperactive and hypoactive neurotransmission, offering balanced antipsychotic and mood-stabilizing effects
Adult Dosing - Schizophrenia: Oral IR tablets 10–15 mg/day; max 30 mg. Extended-release IM: 400 mg + oral 10–20 mg for 14 days → 300–400 mg monthly. - Bipolar Disorder: IR monotherapy 15 mg/day; as adjunct with lithium/valproate 10–15 mg/day; max 30 mg. - Agitated State: IM 9.75 mg, maintenance 5.25–15 mg/day; max 30 mg/day. - Depression (Adjunct): Start 2–5 mg/day, increase by ≤5 mg weekly; maintenance 2–15 mg/day; max 15 mg. Pediatric Dosing - Schizophrenia (13–17 yrs): Start 2 mg/day → 5 mg → 10 mg; maintenance 10 mg; max 30 mg. - Bipolar Disorder (10–17 yrs): Same titration; target 10 mg; max 30 mg. - Autism (6–17 yrs): Start 2 mg/day → 5 mg → 10/15 mg; maintenance 5–15 mg; max 15 mg. - Tourette Syndrome (6–18 yrs): <50 kg: 2 mg → 5 mg; max 10 mg ≥50 kg: 2 mg → 5 mg → 10 mg (by Day 8); max 20 mg General Notes - Oral tablet and solution interchangeable up to 25 mg. - Dose increases spaced 1–2 weeks. - Long-acting IM forms require oral supplementation and tolerability confirmation. - Avoid co-injecting extended-release forms into the same site on the same day

Common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, insomnia, headache, restlessness, weight gain, and anxiety. Rare adverse reactions include extrapyramidal symptoms, hyperglycemia, and neuroleptic malignant syndrome
