Prevention of pregnancy (contraception) in adult and postmenarchal females
Oral Tablet Dosage
1 tablet orally once daily at the same time each day, following the order on the blister pack
Day 1 Start: Begin on the first day of menstruation for immediate contraceptive protection
Sunday Start: Begin on the first Sunday after menstruation begins; use additional protection for 7 days
Do not allow more than 24 hours between doses
Transdermal Patch Dosage
Apply 1 patch weekly for 3 consecutive weeks (Weeks 1–3)
No patch during Week 4 (patch-free interval), then repeat cycle
Apply first patch within 24 hours of menstruation onset
Recommended only for BMI <30 kg/m²
Reduced efficacy and increased VTE risk with BMI ≥30 kg/m²
Use caution for BMI 25–30 kg/m²
