Estroplus Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive (COC) containing Ethinyl Estradiol 0.03 mg and Dienogest 2 mg. This dual-purpose formulation provides reliable pregnancy prevention while also treating heavy menstrual bleeding and endometriosis. Dienogest exerts strong endometrial suppression and anti-inflammatory effects, reducing chronic pelvic pain and lesion growth. Adult Dosage
1 tablet orally once daily at the same time each day
Tablets must be taken in the exact order indicated on the blister pack
Initiation Guidance
Start on Day 1 of menstrual cycle; use non-hormonal backup for 9 days
Postpartum initiation: Begin no earlier than 4 weeks after delivery due to thrombosis risk; confirm no pregnancy before starting; use backup for 9 days
Switching from another combined hormonal method: Start on the first day of withdrawal bleeding (or rule out pregnancy if no bleeding)
Switching from ring/patch: Take first pill on the day the ring/patch is removed; use backup for 9 days
Switching from progestin-only method: Start on the day the next pill/injection was due or implant removed; use backup for 9 days
BMI Consideration
Effectiveness in women with BMI >30 kg/m² has not been firmly established
Clinical monitoring is recommended for women with elevated cardiovascular or thrombotic risk
General Notes
Take the pill at the same time each day without interruption
If vomiting or severe diarrhea occurs within 3–4 hours after dosing, absorption may be reduced; follow missed dose instructions
Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered; if >24 hours late, follow combined contraceptive missed dose protocol and use backup if necessary
Discontinuation: May stop at any time; fertility typically returns rapidly after cessation
