NA-3 contains 5 mg of Norethindrone Acetate, a synthetic progestin used to manage gynecologic conditions caused by hormonal imbalance. It is indicated for endometriosis, secondary amenorrhea, and abnormal uterine bleeding by stabilizing the endometrium and suppressing ovulation. This progestin is also used to regulate the menstrual cycle or delay periods and may be considered off-label in hormone therapy for estrogen receptor-positive cancers, particularly in patients wishing to preserve fertility or who are not surgical candidates.

Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (Adults): 2.5 to 10 mg once daily for 5 to 10 days. Should only be used if the endometrium is adequately primed with estrogen. Withdrawal bleeding typically occurs within 3 to 7 days after stopping.
Secondary Amenorrhea (Adults): 2.5 to 10 mg once daily for 5 to 10 days. Used to reinitiate menstruation in women with disrupted hormonal cycles.
Contraception (Adults & Postpubertal Adolescents): 0.35 mg orally at the same time daily. Provides continuous progestin-based birth control.
Endometriosis (Adults): Start with 5 mg daily for 2 weeks, increase by 2.5 mg every 2 weeks to a maximum of 15 mg/day. Continue for 6 to 9 months or as tolerated. Helps reduce endometrial tissue and alleviate pelvic symptoms.
Pediatric Contraception (Post-menarche Adolescents <16 yrs): 0.35 mg once daily at the same time. Safe for adolescents who require hormonal contraception.
