Donect 5 is a generic donepezil 5mg tablet formulated to help slow cognitive decline in patients with Alzheimer’s disease by increasing the levels of acetylcholine in the brain. By inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, it enhances neural communication, which aids in the maintenance of memory, attention, and overall cognitive function. It also plays a supportive role in other forms of dementia and is used adjunctively in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to maintain daily functionality and mental clarity.

Clinically applied in cases of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to support better memory recall and executive function. - Sleep & Mental Health > Dementia Prescribed as an adjunctive option in various non-Alzheimer’s dementias, including vascular and mixed types. Standard Dosage: - Start with 5 mg taken orally once daily in the evening - After 4–6 weeks, the dose may be increased to 10 mg/day if tolerated For patients stabilized on memantine and donepezil: - Memantine 28 mg ER + donepezil 10 mg should be taken orally once a day in the evening - For severe renal impairment: Memantine 14 mg ER + donepezil 10 mg once daily Instructions: - Take at the same time every evening, with or without food - Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew - When switching from separate doses of memantine and donepezil, initiate the combination dose the following day - Always follow medical guidance when starting or adjusting dosage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store in humid environments such as bathrooms or near heat sources.
