Donep 5 is a generic donepezil tablet designed to improve cognitive function by increasing acetylcholine levels in the brain. Widely used in the management of Alzheimer's disease, Donep 5 helps delay the progression of dementia by enhancing synaptic transmission. Its clinical benefit extends to maintaining memory, learning ability, and independence in daily activities. Additionally, it plays a supportive role in other forms of dementia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI), particularly in elderly individuals experiencing reduced concentration or memory performance.

It is often used in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to stabilize cognitive fluctuations and support daily mental performance. - Sleep & Mental Health > Dementia Acts as an adjunctive agent in multiple types of dementia beyond Alzheimer’s, such as vascular or mixed dementia. It aids in preserving cognition, reducing confusion, and reinforcing attention and orientation. - Alzheimer's & Parkinson's > Alzheimer's Disease Donepezil increases acetylcholine levels in the brain, improving memory recall and daily cognitive function. It is especially effective in slowing the deterioration of Alzheimer’s-related symptoms, helping patients retain communication, learning, and personal independence for longer.

Standard Dosage: - Start with 5 mg orally once daily, preferably in the evening - May increase to 10 mg/day after 4 to 6 weeks if tolerated Patients stabilized on memantine and donepezil: - Take memantine 28 mg ER + donepezil 10 mg orally once a day in the evening - For patients with severe renal impairment: use memantine 14 mg ER + donepezil 10 mg once daily Instructions: - Take consistently at the same time each evening, with or without food - Swallow tablet whole; do not chew or crush - Begin combined use the day after last separate doses of memantine and donepezil - Dose adjustments should be guided by physician based on tolerance and clinical response
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the product tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Avoid high heat or humid conditions.
