Product Description

Arreno Capsule is a fixed-dose combination of Aspirin 25 mg and Dipyridamole 200 mg in an extended-release formulation, designed for secondary prevention of ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). Aspirin inhibits platelet aggregation by irreversibly blocking COX-1, while Dipyridamole enhances its effect through vasodilation and inhibition of adenosine uptake. The synergistic action reduces the risk of thromboembolic events more effectively than either agent alone. The extended-release design ensures sustained blood levels with twice-daily dosing, supporting long-term adherence in prophylactic therapy.

Indications & Uses

  • Lifestyle-related Diseases > Cerebral Infarction & Myocardial Infarction Arreno is indicated for secondary stroke prevention in patients with a history of ischemic cerebrovascular events such as TIA or completed thrombotic stroke. The dual mechanism targets both platelet inhibition and vascular tone, making it a strategic option for high-risk patients needing consistent antithrombotic protection.

Benefits & Effectiveness

  • Dual antiplatelet effect via complementary mechanisms
  • Reduces risk of recurrent ischemic stroke
  • Improves cerebral blood flow via vasodilation
  • Extended-release profile enhances compliance with twice-daily use
