Adult Dose for Hypertension: → Initial dose: 5 mg orally once daily → Maintenance dose: 5–10 mg once daily → Maximum dose: 10 mg/day → For small or frail adults: start at 2.5 mg once daily Adult Dose for Angina or CAD: → Maintenance dose: 5–10 mg once daily → Maximum dose: 10 mg/day Geriatric Dose: → Hypertension: start at 2.5 mg once daily → Angina: 5 mg once daily → Titrate between 2.5–10 mg/day as tolerated Pediatric Dose (6–17 years): → Maintenance: 2.5–5 mg once daily → Max: 5 mg/day → Doses above 5 mg not studied in children → Titration typically over 7–14 days, may be faster with clinical monitoring May be taken with or without food. Take at the same time each day. Do not double dose if missed; Take the next dose as scheduled.
