Atorlip 10 is a generic formulation of atorvastatin 10mg, a potent statin widely used for cholesterol reduction and cardiovascular disease prevention. As an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, it significantly reduces LDL-C, total cholesterol, and triglycerides, while modestly increasing HDL-C. General Hyperlipidemia / HeFH / Type III Dyslipidemia / Hypertriglyceridemia: - Starting dose: 10–20 mg once daily - Maintenance dose: 10–80 mg once daily - Consider 40 mg/day for aggressive LDL-C reduction (>45%) - Should be used with a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH): - Adult dose: 10–80 mg once daily - Pediatric (≥10 years): 10–80 mg once daily - Can be used alone or in combination with LDL apheresis Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HeFH): - Adults: 10–80 mg once daily - Children (≥10 years): 10–20 mg once daily - Adjust dose every 4–6 weeks based on lipid profile Cardiovascular Disease Prevention (Primary & Secondary): - Starting dose: 10–20 mg once daily - Maintenance dose: 10–80 mg once daily - Lowers the risk of MI, stroke, unstable angina, and revascularization - Strongly recommended in patients with type 2 diabetes or multiple risk factors
