Adult Dose for Hypertension: → Initial dose: 5 mg orally once daily → Maintenance dose: 5–10 mg once daily → Maximum dose: 10 mg/day → Consider 2.5 mg/day for small or frail patients Adult Dose for Angina or Coronary Artery Disease: → Maintenance dose: 5–10 mg once daily → Maximum dose: 10 mg/day Geriatric Dose: → Hypertension: start at 2.5 mg once daily → Angina: initial 5 mg once daily → Adjust dosage within 2.5–10 mg/day range based on clinical response Pediatric Dose (6–17 years): → Maintenance: 2.5–5 mg once daily → Maximum dose: 5 mg/day → Doses above 5 mg have not been established → Titrate over 7–14 days; more frequent monitoring may allow faster adjustment May be taken with or without meals. Take at the same time daily for optimal effect. Do not double dose; take the next scheduled dose normally if missed.
