Crestor 5mg contains 5mg of Rosuvastatin, a highly potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) used to treat hyperlipidemia and prevent cardiovascular events. Rosuvastatin selectively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, the key enzyme in hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis. Do not exceed prescribed dosage. Lifestyle modification and dietary cholesterol restriction should accompany therapy.
