General Dosing (Hyperlipidemia / Dyslipidemia): → Usual dose: 90–200 mg orally once daily → Max dose: 200 mg/day → Discontinue therapy if no significant lipid improvement after 2 months on max dose Hypertriglyceridemia / Type IV & V Dyslipidemia: → Tablets: recommended range: 40–160 mg/day → Titrate every 4–8 weeks according to lipid panel results → Reduce dose if triglyceride levels drop significantly → Discontinue if therapeutic goals are not achieved within 2 months of maximum therapy Use only as an adjunct to dietary management of lipids. Take with food for optimal absorption. Do not chew or crush the tablet. Regular monitoring of lipid levels, liver enzymes, and renal function is advised.
