Rizact 5 Tablet contains Rizatriptan Benzoate, a selective serotonin (5-HT1B/1D) receptor agonist from the triptan class, designed for the rapid relief of acute migraine attacks. By constricting cranial blood vessels and inhibiting pro-inflammatory neuropeptide release, it helps alleviate symptoms such as intense headache, nausea, photophobia, and phonophobia. This tablet is particularly effective when taken during the early onset of migraine, regardless of the presence of aura. The orally disintegrating formulation provides an alternative for patients with nausea or gastrointestinal distress who may have difficulty swallowing.
- Painkillers & Headache > Migraine Used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks in adults and children over 6 years old. Its mechanism targets serotonin receptors to reduce vascular inflammation and nerve transmission associated with migraine. Ideal for rapid symptom control, especially in patients who prefer oral but fast-acting medications.

Adult Dosage: - Initial dose: 5 mg or 10 mg taken orally at the first sign of migraine. - If symptoms recur, a second dose may be taken after a minimum interval of 2 hours. - Do not exceed 30 mg within 24 hours. Pediatric Dosage (age 6 and above): - Children under 40 kg: 5 mg orally, once per 24 hours. - Children 40 kg and over: 10 mg orally, once per 24 hours. - Not for use in children under 6 years of age. Cautions: - Do not use in patients with basilar, hemiplegic, or ophthalmoplegic migraine due to stroke risk. - Not indicated for prophylactic (preventive) treatment. - Avoid if history of ischemic heart disease, stroke, or uncontrolled hypertension. - Use with caution if taking propranolol, as it may increase rizatriptan levels; reduce dose to 5 mg. - Do not use within 24 hours of other triptans or ergotamine-containing medications. 복용 시 주의사항: - Take only after migraine has clearly started; not effective as a preventive drug. - Swallow whole or use the orally disintegrating tablet form depending on individual needs. - If nausea is present, ODT formulation may be preferred for faster onset. - Monitor frequency of use; frequent attacks (≥4 per month) may require preventive therapy. 소아 용량: - Pediatric use approved for children 6 years and older after confirmed diagnosis of migraine. - Only one dose per 24 hours allowed. - Not suitable for use in types of migraine associated with neurological deficits.

Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, dry mouth, and sensation of pressure or tightness in chest or throat. Rare but serious side effects may include serotonin syndrome, increased blood pressure, or arrhythmia. Discontinue use and consult a physician if unusual symptoms occur.
