Product Description

Rizora 10 Tablet is a fast-acting migraine medication containing Rizatriptan Benzoate 10 mg, a selective 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist from the triptan class. It effectively reverses intracranial blood vessel dilation and inhibits inflammatory neuropeptide release, providing rapid relief from acute migraine symptoms such as throbbing headache, nausea, photophobia, and phonophobia. Rizora is suitable for patients with or without aura and works best when taken at the first sign of an attack. The orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) format is particularly beneficial for patients experiencing vomiting or poor gastric motility during migraine episodes.

Indications & Uses

  • Painkillers & Headache > Migraine
    Used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults and children aged 6 and above. It is not intended for prophylaxis or for the treatment of cluster headaches.

Directions for Use

  • Pediatric Dosage (Age 6+) - <40 kg: 5 mg orally once per migraine attack, ≥40 kg: 10 mg orally once, Maximum: 1 dose in 24 hours
  • Indication - Acute relief of migraine attacks in adults and pediatric patients over 6 years old, with or without aura
  • Administration Instructions - For best results, take the tablet as early as possible during an attack, Tablet may be taken with or without food, The orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) can be taken without water, Do not chew or crush the tablet, Not to be used as a preventive medication
  • Precautions - Avoid use in patients with cardiovascular conditions such as ischemic heart disease, stroke, or uncontrolled hypertension, Should not be combined with other triptans or ergot-based drugs within a 24-hour period, Patients on propranolol may require dose adjustment due to increased plasma levels, Not indicated for treating more than four migraine episodes per month without medical supervision, Not suitable for hemiplegic or basilar-type migraines due to potential stroke risk
  • Pediatric Precautions - Use only in children 6 years or older after accurate diagnosis of migraine, Not studied for use in multiple attacks per 24 hours, Safety for long-term use in children has not been fully established
