Topirol 100 contains topiramate 100 mg, a multimodal anticonvulsant and neuromodulator. It stabilizes neuronal activity via GABA potentiation, voltage-gated sodium-channel inhibition, AMPA/kainate antagonism and carbonic anhydrase inhibition. Indicated for epilepsy and migraine prophylaxis, Topirol 100 is also used off-label to modulate reward circuits in behavioral indications (e.g., adjunct smoking-cessation in difficult cases).
