Reference information will be available soon.
Dasamyl 100 contains 100 mg of dasatinib, a second-generation oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) developed for the treatment of multiple Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) leukemias. By inhibiting both BCR-ABL and SRC family kinases, it induces rapid cytogenetic responses and is highly effective in patients who are resistant or intolerant to first-line therapy such as imatinib.
Dasamyl 100 is utilized both as a first-line therapy in high-risk groups and as a salvage option in relapsed or refractory cases. Its ability to penetrate the central nervous system (CNS) also makes it an essential treatment choice for targeting leukemic cells in sanctuary sites that are often inaccessible to other TKIs.
AntiCancer Drugs > Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+)
Dasamyl 100 is used for the treatment of chronic phase CML, particularly in patients who have developed resistance or intolerance to imatinib. In certain high-risk patients, it is also approved as a first-line therapy. By inhibiting BCR-ABL and SRC family kinases, it induces rapid hematologic and cytogenetic responses.
> Philadelphia Chromosome–Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ ALL)
In relapsed or refractory Ph+ ALL, Dasamyl 100 is employed either as monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy. It frequently serves as a bridge to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and is favored for its ability to cross the blood–brain barrier, thereby addressing CNS involvement.
> Myeloid & Lymphoid Blast Crisis Transformation of CML
For patients whose CML has progressed to blast crisis, Dasamyl 100 provides rapid cytogenetic responses. It is often preferred over imatinib due to its broader kinase inhibition and faster therapeutic action in this aggressive disease stage.
Dasamyl 100 provides potent inhibition of both BCR-ABL and SRC family kinases, making it highly effective in Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+) leukemias. It is particularly valuable in patients with imatinib-resistant disease, where alternative kinase blockade is required.
One of its distinguishing features is CNS penetration, which offers therapeutic benefit in high-risk Ph+ ALL by addressing leukemic cells in sanctuary sites. The drug induces rapid and sustained hematologic and cytogenetic responses, supporting long-term disease control.
Dasamyl 100 is approved for use in both pediatric and adult leukemia protocols, broadening its clinical applicability across diverse patient populations.
For adult patients, the recommended dose is 100 mg orally once daily for chronic phase CML. For accelerated phase CML, myeloid or lymphoid blast phase CML, and Ph+ ALL, the dose is 140 mg orally once daily. Treatment should be continued until disease progression or the occurrence of unacceptable toxicity.
For pediatric patients, the dosage is weight-based:
10–<20 kg: 40 mg orally once daily
20–<30 kg: 60 mg orally once daily
30–<45 kg: 70 mg orally once daily
≥45 kg: 100 mg orally once daily
Dosage should be reassessed every 3 months or adjusted after significant weight changes. For Ph+ ALL, therapy should be initiated by Day 15 of induction chemotherapy and continued for up to 2 years.
Tablets are not recommended for pediatric patients weighing under 10 kg.
Store at controlled room temperature (20–25°C). Keep tightly closed and protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
- Common: Headache, fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, skin rash - Hematologic: Anemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia - Cardiovascular: QT prolongation, pulmonary arterial hypertension - Respiratory: Pleural effusion, dyspnea - Pediatric-specific: Potential growth delay, require monitoring
