Dasatrue 70 is a mid-strength formulation of dasatinib, specifically tailored for pediatric and select adult leukemia patients who require precise dose titration. As a second-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), it inhibits both BCR-ABL and SRC family kinases, thereby effectively suppressing abnormal cell proliferation in Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+) leukemias.
The 70 mg intermediate dose allows for more accurate alignment with pediatric weight-based dosing protocols and provides flexibility in adjusting therapy for adult patients who may be sensitive to full-dose regimens.

Dasatrue 70 is used in the treatment of chronic phase CML in both pediatric and adult patients with a Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+) profile. It is especially indicated for individuals who have developed intolerance or resistance to first-line agents such as imatinib. The 70 mg dosage is particularly suitable for patients in the 30–<45 kg weight range.

For relapsed or refractory Ph+ ALL, Dasatrue 70 is integrated into treatment regimens either as monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy. Its ability to cross the blood–brain barrier adds therapeutic value in managing CNS leukemia, especially in pediatric patients.

In cases where CML has progressed to blast phase, Dasatrue 70 provides flexible dosing options during aggressive treatment phases. It contributes to hematologic and cytogenetic responses and can help stabilize patients prior to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
Dasatrue 70 provides broad-spectrum inhibition of both BCR-ABL and SRC kinases, enabling effective suppression of leukemic proliferation. Its ability to penetrate the CNS makes it valuable in Ph+ ALL with meningeal involvement.
The 70 mg dose is particularly suitable for pediatric patients weighing 30–45 kg, aligning with weight-based treatment protocols. It also supports bridging therapy prior to stem cell transplantation and offers a dose-flexible option for adults sensitive to toxicity from full-dose regimens.
1. Adult Dose – Leukemia
Chronic Phase CML: 100 mg orally once daily
Accelerated Phase CML / Blast Phase CML / Ph+ ALL: 140 mg orally once daily
Duration: Continue treatment until disease progression or unacceptable side effects occur. Dose adjustment should be guided by hematologic and organ function monitoring. Switching doses may be considered if toxicities persist at higher strengths.
2. Pediatric Dose – Leukemia
10–<20 kg: 40 mg orally once daily
20–<30 kg: 60 mg orally once daily
30–<45 kg: 70 mg orally once daily
≥45 kg: 100 mg orally once daily
Notes: The 70 mg formulation enables accurate dosing for children weighing 30–45 kg. Regular reassessment is required every 3 months or with significant weight change. For Ph+ ALL, dasatinib should be introduced by day 15 of induction chemotherapy and continued through consolidation and maintenance for up to 2 years.
Store Dasatrue 70 tablets at 15–30°C (59–86°F) in a cool, dry location, away from sunlight. Maintain original packaging to protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children and do not split or crush tablets without medical instruction.
