Dasatib 50 is a generic formulation of dasatinib, a second-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) indicated for the treatment of various Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+) leukemias. It provides potent inhibition of both BCR-ABL and SRC-family kinases, making it effective in patients who are resistant or intolerant to prior imatinib therapy.
With its ability to induce rapid cytogenetic responses and penetrate the central nervous system (CNS), Dasatib 50 is widely applied in both adult and pediatric hematologic malignancies, offering versatile dosing and disease-stage adaptability.
AntiCancer Drugs > Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)
Dasatib 50 is indicated for adult patients with Ph+ CML in chronic, accelerated, or blast phase who have developed resistance or intolerance to imatinib. It is also approved as a first-line treatment in certain high-risk patients. Its broader kinase blockade allows for quicker cytogenetic response compared to first-generation TKIs.

Dasatib 50 is used as monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy to treat relapsed or refractory Ph+ ALL. With its ability to penetrate the CNS, it is especially beneficial in preventing or managing CNS involvement and is frequently employed as a pre-transplant bridging therapy.

For CML patients whose disease has progressed into acute leukemic phases, Dasatib 50 provides enhanced cytogenetic remission rates and is often utilized when rapid disease control is required before hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
1. Adult Dosage – Leukemia
Chronic Phase CML: 100 mg orally once daily
Accelerated Phase CML / Blast Phase CML / Ph+ ALL: 140 mg orally once daily
Treatment should be continued until disease progression or occurrence of unacceptable toxicity. Patients should be monitored for blood counts, liver enzymes, fluid retention, and QT interval during therapy. Dose adjustments are required in cases of pleural effusion or hematologic toxicity.
2. Pediatric Dosage – Leukemia
10–<20 kg: 40 mg orally once daily
20–<30 kg: 60 mg orally once daily
30–<45 kg: 70 mg orally once daily
≥45 kg: 100 mg orally once daily
Dasatib 50 should be initiated by day 15 of induction chemotherapy in newly diagnosed Ph+ ALL and is typically continued for up to two years. Pediatric doses are strictly weight-based and require regular reassessment. The formulation is not recommended for children under 10 kg due to tablet size limitations.
Store at 15–30°C (59–86°F) in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original container. Do not crush or chew tablets. Handle with care and wash hands after handling. Keep out of reach of children.
