Reference information will be available soon.
Lenmid 10 is an oral capsule formulation containing 10mg of lenalidomide, a thalidomide analog with potent immunomodulatory and antineoplastic activity. It selectively modulates the cereblon E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, leading to targeted degradation of transcription factors essential for cancer cell survival. Lenmid 10 is a critical agent in treating multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and various lymphomas, either as monotherapy or in combination regimens.
AntiCancerDrugs > Multiple Myeloma
Lenmid 10 is widely used in the treatment of multiple myeloma (MM), especially in combination with dexamethasone. It plays a central role in both frontline and relapsed therapy by suppressing malignant plasma cell proliferation and enhancing T-cell and NK-cell cytotoxicity. Lenalidomide is also utilized as maintenance therapy following autologous stem cell transplantation to prolong progression-free survival.
Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)
Lenmid 10 is indicated for the treatment of low/intermediate-1 risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) associated with a deletion in chromosome 5q. It helps restore normal hematopoiesis and reduces the need for red blood cell transfusions, often achieving transfusion independence and cytogenetic remission.
Lymphoma
Lenmid 10 is employed in the management of mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), follicular lymphoma (FL), and marginal zone lymphoma (MZL), especially in cases resistant to prior therapies. It may be used alone or in combination with agents like rituximab. The drug shows promising efficacy in prolonging remission and stabilizing disease in indolent lymphoid malignancies.
Off-label Use in CLL and Other Hematologic Conditions
In select off-label cases such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), lenalidomide has been used as part of immunomodulatory regimens under hematologist supervision, contributing to disease control in refractory patients.
Multiple Myeloma
In combination with dexamethasone: 25 mg orally once daily on Days 1–21 of a 28-day cycle
Maintenance after autologous stem cell transplant: Initiate with 10 mg once daily on Days 1–28 for 3 cycles
If tolerated, increase to 15 mg daily and continue until disease progression or toxicity
Continue therapy in non-transplant patients as long as clinically beneficial
Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS)
10 mg orally once daily
Continue indefinitely or modify based on clinical and laboratory assessments
Indicated specifically for 5q deletion MDS (± other cytogenetic abnormalities)
Lymphomas
Follicular Lymphoma (FL) / Marginal Zone Lymphoma (MZL): 20 mg orally once daily on Days 1–21 of a 28-day cycle, for up to 12 cycles with rituximab
Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL): 25 mg orally once daily on Days 1–21 of 28-day cycles
Treatment continues until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs
Storage Conditions
Store at temperatures below 25°C in a dry location, protected from light and moisture.
