Product Description

Cizumab 400 is a 400mg/16ml injectable formulation of bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting VEGF-A. It inhibits angiogenesis by preventing VEGF from binding to its receptors on endothelial cells, thus limiting blood supply to tumors. Cizumab 400 is used in multiple solid tumors including colorectal, lung, ovarian, brain, cervical, renal, and liver cancers. This higher-dose vial is suitable for body-weight-based regimens that require larger volumes, reducing preparation time and vial burden.

Indications & Uses

  • AntiCancer Drugs > Colorectal Cancer
Used in combination with chemotherapy regimens such as FOLFOX, FOLFIRI, and CAPEOX in both first-line and second-line settings for metastatic colorectal cancer. Enhances chemotherapy delivery and improves survival outcomes.

  • Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (non-squamous)
Administered with platinum-doublet chemotherapy in patients with advanced or unresectable non-squamous NSCLC. Demonstrates benefit even in patients with brain metastases.

  • Glioblastoma
Indicated for recurrent glioblastoma, particularly in patients with steroid-refractory cerebral edema. Helps relieve intracranial pressure and stabilize disease progression.

  • Renal Cell Carcinoma
Used in combination with interferon-alpha in metastatic clear cell RCC to inhibit tumor vascularization and improve progression-free survival.

  • Cervical Cancer
Used with paclitaxel and either cisplatin or topotecan in persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer. Clinical trials confirm survival benefit when included in combination regimens.

  • Ovarian, Fallopian, and Peritoneal Cancers
Approved for use in newly diagnosed and recurrent epithelial ovarian cancers, both platinum-sensitive and platinum-resistant. Also indicated as maintenance therapy following chemotherapy response.

  • Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Combined with atezolizumab in first-line treatment for advanced or unresectable HCC. This regimen is recognized as a new standard of care globally.

Benefits & Effectiveness

  • Inhibits VEGF-A binding to VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2
  • Suppresses tumor angiogenesis and vascular permeability
  • Enhances chemotherapy delivery via tumor vessel normalization
  • Reduces peritumoral edema and intracranial pressure in GBM
