Wormin 100 is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic formulation containing mebendazole 100mg. It effectively targets a wide range of intestinal nematodes by inhibiting glucose uptake and disrupting energy metabolism in helminths.

Mebendazole disrupts microtubule polymerization within intestinal cells of parasites, halting glucose uptake. Energy starvation leads to immobilization and parasite death.
[Adult Dosing] - Hookworm, Whipworm, Ascariasis: 100 mg BID for 3 days or 500 mg once Repeat in 3 weeks if infection persists - Pinworm: 100 mg single dose Repeat in 2 weeks; treat close contacts to prevent reinfection - Capillariasis: 200 mg BID for 20 days - Trichostrongylosis: 100 mg BID for 3 days - Trichinosis: 200–400 mg TID for 3 days, then 400–500 mg TID for 10 days Co-administer corticosteroids for systemic symptoms - Visceral Larva Migrans: 100–200 mg BID for 5–20 days Prolonged course if CNS or ocular involvement [Pediatric Dosing] - Hookworm, Whipworm, Ascariasis: ≥2 years: 100 mg BID for 3 days ≥1 year (chewable): 500 mg once dose Repeat after 3 weeks if reinfection suspected - Pinworm: ≥2 years: 100 mg once Repeat in 2 weeks Household-wide treatment if outbreak occurs - Capillariasis: 200 mg BID for 20 days - Trichostrongylosis: 100 mg BID for 3 days - Trichinosis: 200–400 mg TID for 3 days, then 400–500 mg TID for 10 days Add steroids in severe or systemic cases - Visceral Larva Migrans: 100–200 mg BID for 5–20 days Adjust based on clinical severity
